Daisy Davis

Printmaker

I am, first and foremost, a printmaker, working primarily in lino, but dabbling also with collagraph and screen print.

I grew up on the Isles of Scilly, a small archipelago off the end of Cornwall, and my work regularly explores the landscape of these islands, as well as tradition, folk culture, myth and community. Not forgetting my pretty hefty obsession with maps!

As a Queer artist, my work occasionally touches also on themes of sexuality and gender, with an interest in the history of Queer identities in the rural landscape.

As well as printmaking, I engage in various other mediums; photography, textile design and quilt making, as well as silversmithing and metal work.
